LoRa Modulation (CSS)
Devices use Chirp Spread Spectrum modulation — encoding data across a wide frequency band, making signals extremely resistant to noise and interference even at very low transmission power.

Gateway Reception
One gateway simultaneously receives signals from thousands of devices across 8–16 channels. A single gateway covers 2–5 km in dense urban areas and up to 15 km in open terrain.

Network Server
Handles packet deduplication when multiple gateways receive the same signal, device authentication via AES-128 encryption, and routes decoded payloads to SmartX HUB in real time.

Adaptive Data Rate
LoRaWAN dynamically adjusts spreading factor (SF7–SF12) and transmission power. Devices near a gateway use faster, lower-power settings; distant devices trade speed for greater range and reliability.

End-to-End Security
Two layers of AES-128 encryption: NwkSKey between device and network server, AppSKey between device and application. Each device carries a unique DevEUI, AppEUI, and AppKey identity.
